Windy conditions headed to Calgary before cold returns

Consistent snowfall to begin Thursday and last into Friday. Cold temperatures will stick around on Wednesday.

There’s still a little spring weather left before the winter storm.

Thursday will be a warm one. We will likely get into the double digits in Calgary, but this will come with windy conditions. The gusts will kick in late morning and increase throughout the day, reaching about 70 kilometres an hour.

The snow will begin in Calgary likely between 6 and 7 p.m. It will be consistent and widespread — this is why we will get significant totals in all of southern Alberta. Snowfall Thursday night through Friday will total between 10 and 15 centimetres. It will clear out of the city Friday night, but the cold will stick around on Saturday.
