Airdrie residents may have caught a glimpse of an elusive creature roaming the streets on Thursday. RCMP and Alberta Fish and Wildlife were called to Airdrie’s Luxstone neighbourhood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday after getting reports of the big cat. Fish and Wildlife caught the cougar in a backyard and tranquilized the animal. The cougar was also spotted in Bayside earlier in the morning, according to social media reports. The cougar will be released back in the wild west of the community. CTV News has reached out to Alberta Fish and Wildlife for more information.
