Hundreds of high-end ovens are being recalled in Canada, with a notice warning owners to “immediately shut off the gas supply.” Dual fuel ranges that retail for between $10,000 and $20,000 “may be missing a gas manifold testing component,” a recall notice posted Thursday warns. The part isn’t needed to operate the ranges, the notice says, but it’s important during installation. Gas leaks are possible from ranges missing the part if they’re connected to a supply, the recall said. As a result, those who own the affected ranges are told to disconnect them from their gas supply immediately as a precaution. They’re told to then contact the manufacturer for an inspection and repair, if needed. The recall applies to six model numbers of dual fuel ranges under the brands AGA and La Cornue. For the model numbers listed, all colour variations, trim options, burner configurations and gas types are potentially impacted. The models, model numbers and sizes are as follows: The recall notice says all affected units were made between March 19, 2025, and July 24, 2026. As of about a month ago, the U.K.-based company AGA Rangemaster Limited had not received any reports in Canada or the U.S. of incidents or injuries. It reported that 261 units were sold in Canada, and 3,992 were sold in the U.S. Owners who aren’t sure if their range is impacted can check the recall webpages for AGA and La Cornue.
