Calgary police say they stopped a driver doing double the posted speed limit while also watching a YouTube video. The incident happened the afternoon of Sept. 20, police say. According to police, the offending driver was “travelling 141 km/h in a 70 km/h zone on Stoney Trail.” “The driver was observed watching a YouTube video on their phone while driving,” police said in a post to social media on Tuesday. Police gave the driver tickets for a number of offences, including: “Distracted driving & speeding are a dangerous combination,” police said. “Put distractions away, stay focused and follow the rules of the road.”
