YRP: Shots fired in dispute at Keswick strip mall

Police say shots were fired between two vehicles after a dispute in a Keswick shopping area.

York Regional Police say around 4:23 p.m., the occupant of one vehicle “discharged” a firearm toward another vehicle in a parking in the Woodbine Avenue and Dovedale Drive area.

According to police, both vehicles fled the scene before officers could arrive.

The incident is being considered isolated by authorities.

There are no reports of anyone being struck or injured, police say.

Residents can expect a presence of police in the area for a while, as the incident is still under investigation.
