The Troubadour Festival Summer Concert Series is getting a family-friendly twist this year, introducing a brand-new Treehouse Stage and welcoming popular children’s performers Caitie and Tobee. The Super Simple Summer Sing-Along featuring Caitie and Tobee will kick off the first of four jam-packed days for families at Meridian Place. The free interactive show, part of the festival’s new Troubadour Treehouse programming for all ages, will be hosted by CTV’s Sarah Freemark and includes popular children’s songs like My Happy Song, Here Comes the Fire Truck and Skidamarink. Caitie and Tobee are known worldwide through Super Simple Songs, which has more than 46 million YouTube subscribers and billions of views. “Super Simple has created a global community around music and learning, and we’re thrilled to welcome Caitie and Tobee to Downtown Barrie for what will be an unforgettable evening for families,” said Steve Ricalis, Chair of the Downtown Barrie BIA. Organizers say the new programming is designed to bring all ages of entertainment to the heart of Barrie. Event-goers can catch the famous duo on the Troubadour Street Stage on Sat., June 6, at 12 p.m. ahead of country-rock band headliners The Road Hammers. Looking for a VIP experience? Families can also purchase tickets to an exclusive VIP meet-and-greet and photo opportunity with the performers after the show. Tickets are currently on sale for $65 per person. Infants up to six months do not require a ticket.
