Snow enthusiasts brave the water for retro pond skim

Skiers and snowboarders braved the elements for the annual pond skim at Blue Mountain Resort

As the winter season winds down skiers and snowboarders are taking full advantage of the hills before the snow melts.

Blue Mountain Resort held their pond skim event on Saturday with a retro theme giving riders the opportunity to ride over water.

It is one of the fan favourite events of the season as riders tried their best to skim across the pond at the bottom of the Smart Alec trail.
