North America’s largest outdoor auto show revs up for 38th season

Georgian College's massive auto show returns June 5-7.

North America’s largest outdoor auto show is back for its 38th season, bringing the latest in automotive innovation to the Barrie, Ont. community.

“The auto show is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students because it brings everything we’ve learned about the industry into a real-world, hands-on environment,” said Amanda Caldeira, student and director of marketing and media relations for the event.

The Georgian College Auto Show is organized entirely by students from the Automotive Business School of Canada.

“At the Automotive Business School of Canada, we’re taught to look at the industry through a strategic lens and the Georgian College Auto Show is where that vision comes to life. The show goes beyond just the vehicles—it’s about the people, the innovation and the future leaders driving the industry forward,” said Caldeira.

Organizers say this year’s theme, Beyond the Wheel, invites guests to engage with the future of mobility through immersive, hands-on experiences.

Visitors will have the chance to explore vehicles from more than 20 major manufacturers, test drive the latest models and take a thrill ride on the Porsche Drift Track.

It will also feature a KidZone with mini dirt bikes, an inflatable obstacle course, a dog show, food trucks and local vendors.

The auto show takes place at the college’s Barrie campus from June 5 to 7.
