You’ll need your shades and just a light jacket or sweater as you’re heading out the door Friday morning. Simcoe County residents and visitors are waking up to a sun-filled day ahead. The stretch of bright and sunny days continues for our region going into the weekend. Forecasters with Environment Canada say any fog that’s formed early in the morning will dissipate and make way for a mainly sunny sky, light winds and a high of 12 C. If the sun’s beaming rays feel strong, you’re not imagining it. There’s even a UV index of 3 or moderate, according to the national weather centre. You’ll want to add on some layers if you’re heading out Friday night. It will cool right down to the freezing mark. It’ll be perfect for star-gazing though with a clear sky blanketing the region. The weekend is shaping up to be just as pleasant with nothing but sunshine on Saturday and a high of 14 C. And the sun will shine just as bright on Sunday and you’ll be able to lose the sweater as things warm up to a high of 18 C.
