Police are looking for two men who they say are responsible for stealing a piece of jewelry right off a person. South Simcoe police say the theft happened on Tuesday afternoon at 12:45 near a community mailbox in the Tyndall Drive and Chelsea Crescent in Bradford West Gwillimbury. A black SUV stopped at the mailbox and two men asked the person for directions to Walmart, which the person gave, according to police. The men then took out pieces of jewelry to show the person. While they were showcasing the jewelry, one man reached out of the passenger side front window and allegedly took a gold chain from around the person’s neck. Police say the two men sped away and headed north on Tyndall Drive and then east on Chelsea Crescent. Investigators are describing the men as roughly 30 years old with brown complexions and wearing dark pants. One man was wearing a beige T-shirt while the other was wearing a light-coloured T-shirt. Photos have been shared by authorities in hopes the public can help with the investigation. Police remind people to be cautious when approached by strangers.
