Four charged, slew of drug paraphernalia seized in Orillia trafficking investigation

Four were arrested and a wide range of illicit drugs were seized after a police raid in Orillia this week.

According to Orillia OPP, a search warrant was executed at a home on Elgin Street just after 8 a.m. on Friday.

Community Street Crime Units (CSCU’s) from Orillia OPP, Muskoka and Southern Georgian Bay OPP, as well as the Community Mobilization Unit were all involved in the police raid.

Police say they seized the following items:

• 51 grams of suspected fentanyl
• 41 grams of suspected cocaine
• 18.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine
• 176 suspected hydromorphone pills
• Nine suspected Percocet pills
• $2,580 in Canadian cash
• Two pellet guns
• Nearly $900 in recovered stolen property
• Other drug trafficking paraphernalia

A 46-year-old Orillia woman was charged with the following counts:

• Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

A 47-year-old Orillia man was charged with:

• Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

The two other Orillia women, a 29-year-old and a 32-year-old, were charged with failing to comply with a probation order.

The 46-year-old woman was held for bail. The three others were released and scheduled for a July court date.
