Much like Wednesday, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says the chance of precipitation continues on Thursday. Although the daytime high is mild at 15 C, Thursday begins with a 30 per cent chance of showers in the early morning hours and around noon, those chances increase to 40 per cent. From noon until 5 p.m., ECCC says residents can expect a risk of thunderstorms. By the late evening hours, the chances of showers stay at 40 per cent, even as the risk of thunderstorms decreases. The weather agency warns that residents can also expect 30 km/h northeasterly winds that may gust as fast as 50 km/h. The overnight low for Thursday is a seasonal 5 C and the UV index is rated at a three.
