A joint trafficking investigation led to the arrest of two Innisfil residents

Provincial police from Nottawasaga and Dufferin, as well as South Simcoe Police from Innisfil joined forces to take cocaine and fentanyl off the streets.

Police arrested a person prior to executing a search warrant at an Innisfil residence on Wednesday. A second person was arrested inside the residence where police seized:

• 19 grams of Cocaine
• 39 grams of Fentanyl
• $100 in Canadian Currency
• Various knifes
• 3 cellular devices
• Digital scales and packaging

A 38-year-old Innisfil man was charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for trafficking - cocaine
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for trafficking - fentanyl
• Trafficking in cocaine
• Trafficking in fentanyl

A 27-year-old of Innisfil woman was charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine
• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Fentanyl

Both accused people were released with a future court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford.
