Taste Latino holds second event of the year in Halifax

Taste Latino 2025 returned to the Alexander Keith’s Brewery Market Sunday, bringing the food and culture festival back to Halifax for the second time this year.

Taste Latino 2025 returned to the Alexander Keith’s Brewery Market Sunday, bringing the food and culture festival back to Halifax for its second event this year.

“Taste Latino is a celebration of the culture through food and music,” said Thauana Morais, team lead for the YWCA entrepreneurship program in Halifax.

“I am supporting our program participants who actually put this together.”

The organizers came together to celebrate diversity and the Latin community in Halifax through the event, she said.

“It’s special because it’s all women-led. All businesses that are local businesses.”

The food and craft entrepreneurs at Taste Latino all started their companies in Halifax and Morais said they are thriving.

“Vendors sold out,” Morais said. “Everyone loved them already because they are so active in the community.”

The first Taste Latino event took place in May.

“The food is what’s special.” Morais said.
