Pictou woman charged with trafficking cocaine: RCMP

A Pictou, N.S., woman is facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop on Tuesday.

Police say they learned a woman was trafficking drugs throughout the region during an ongoing investigation.

Officers saw the woman driving along Highway 104 near Salt Springs and conducted a traffic stop and search of her vehicle. The RCMP says officers seized:

• 14 grams of cocaine
• 37 grams of crack cocaine
• a quantity of cash

Bonita Roxanne Bellows, 47, has been charged with:

• possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
• possession of property obtained by crime

Bellows was released on conditions and is set to appear in provincial court in Pictou in January.
