Delays are expected near a hospital on a busy Halifax road Saturday as underground electrical work continues. Nova Scotia Health is advising patients heading to the Halifax Infirmary between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., to expect delays on Robie Street due to ongoing underground electrical work for the new Acute Care Tower. In a news release, the health authority said all southbound lanes on Robie Street will be closed between Quinpool Road and Jubilee Road. Patients and visitors are being advised to use alternate routes during this time. Sidewalks and pedestrian access will remain open. Nova Scotia Health said the emergency department will remain open and fully accessible throughout the work. Traffic control personnel will be on site to help direct traffic and maintain safe access for patients, visitors and emergency services.
