Man, 71, charged with historical and recent sexual assaults: N.S. RCMP

A man from Nova Scotia’s King County is facing charges following historical and recent sexual assault allegations.

Police say they received a report of a sexual assault involving a child victim and a man and began investigating earlier this month.

Several other people reportedly told officers they also had been assaulted by the same man.

“The victims were known to the man. The offences took place between the 1970s and the present. Though some victims are now adults, all were children or youth when the assaults occurred,” the RCMP said in a news release.

Terry Hill Sr. of Cambridge was arrested on April 7 and charged with 14 offences including:

• sexual assault (four counts)
• sexual interference (four counts)
• uttering threats (two counts)

The 71-year-old had his first court appearance in Kentville provincial court on April 10.

He was released on conditions, pending future court appearances.

Investigators believe there may be more victims.

The investigation continues.
