A man is in hospital after a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Bedford, N.S., Wednesday morning. Halifax Regional Police says it responded to a collision in the 0-50 Block of Hammonds Plains Road at 11:21 a.m. “An adult male was struck by a vehicle in the driveway of a parking lot,” read a news release from police. “The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and has been transported to the hospital.” Police say the driver, an 84-year-old female has been charged with a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian on a sidewalk when emerging from driveway. Traffic was blocked on Hammonds Plains Road between the Bedford Highway and Doyle Street for a period of time but has since reopened.
