Brandon police say a teenager has been charged after a person was pepper-sprayed inside the Brandon Shoppers Mall. It happened shortly before 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Police said officers were called about a fight outside a store. “During which one individual was pepper-sprayed,” Brandon police said in a news release. The two suspects ran from the scene but police said they were caught in nearby Brandon Cemetery. A 14-year-old boy was arrested and has been charged with assault with a weapon/administer noxious substance. The charge has not been tested in court. Police said the teen was released on an undertaking and will return to court in March.
