One man is dead following a single-car collision in the RM of St. Andrews, Man., on Wednesday morning.

Around 1 a.m., Mounties responded to the intersection of Highway 8 and Road 85 North, where they found a vehicle in a ditch. Only one person was in the car at the time of the crash.

The Clandeboye Fire Department and EMS also came to the scene. Shortly after their arrival, the lone occupant of the car—a 44-year-old Manitoba man—was pronounced dead. Police note he was not wearing his seatbelt.

RCMP continue to investigate.
