Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has ended the orange severe thunderstorm warning and tornado watch previously issued for southwestern Manitoba. At 2:23 p.m. on Saturday, the weather agency said meteorologists were tracking a “dangerous” thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, golf ball- to tennis ball-sized hail and heavy rain. The warning was intermittently upgraded to red, describing the storm as “extremely dangerous.” In addition, the nearby areas were placed under an orange tornado watch. As of 8:59 a.m. on Sunday, both have been ended.
