A 30-year-old has been charged following a pair of alleged road rage incidents in Dauphin this week. According to RCMP, the first incident took place Tuesday night at 6:20 p.m. near the intersection of 9th Avenue and 2nd Street Southwest. Mounties allege a 31-year-old driver was waiting at a four-way stop when an SUV pulled up beside him, and the driver pulled out a knife and made gestures he was going to open his door. The victim drove away from the scene. Mounties say a second incident took place shortly after in the 1400 block of Main Street South. They allege a man got out of the SUV and “acted erratically” towards people in another vehicle before returning to the SUV and heading to a nearby hotel. RCMP found the suspect inside the hotel and arrested him. A 30-year-old man from Valley River First Nation has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was released from custody with a future court date. The charges have not been proven in court.
