A 55-year-old man is dead after a stabbing near Winnipeg’s South Point Douglas neighbourhood. Around 1 p.m. on Thursday, Winnipeg police were called to the 100 block of Henry Avenue for a stabbing. Officers arrived and found Ronald Alexander Grego Findlay with serious injuries, who was receiving care from the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service. Police say the suspect approached Findlay and got into an unprovoked altercation. The suspect allegedly took out a weapon and assaulted Findlay in his upper body before leaving the area. He was sent to hospital in critical condition. Findlay died at the hospital. The homicide unit took over the investigation.
