Here are the final numbers for the annual Manitoba Motorcycle Ride for Dad (MRFD). The ride marked its 18th year on Saturday with 1,272 registered riders. Riders departed from Earls Polo Park in Winnipeg heading west, then north to Selkirk and Gimli, then returned, the organization said in a media release. The final amount for this year was more than $535,000 – making the 18-year total over $6.5 million. The proceeds will stay in the province for prostate cancer research and education. “We had another amazing turnout of riders and spectators,” said Moe Sabourin, co-chair and founding member of the organization. The MRFD also released the names of the top five fundraisers: More information about the organization can be found online.
