The familiar Crown Royal sign has been removed from the former Diageo plant in Amherstburg, another visible sign of the facility’s closure. The building was listed for sale last December after Diageo permanently closed the plant for good in February. The company moved some production to the United States, resulting in more than 200 employees losing their jobs in Amherstburg. There is no word yet on a potential sale.
