Pilots safe after B.C. air tanker crashes in Australia
Two pilots are safe after a large air tanker owned by a Vancouver Island company crashed while battling wildfires in western Australia on Monday.

"A change in the month and a change in the weather. It’s not a big temperature jump today but the warmer air is noticeable. We’ll continue to see steady seasonal highs and lows into next week. Rain starts moving over the island in a more consistent starting tomorrow. Heavier rain will fall on Friday and Saturday with things clearing off throughout the day Sunday. While Greater Victoria is on the low end of accumulation, the west coast could see triple-digit totals by the end of the weekend. The question now is, will it be like this for the whole month? We can expect another cool down most likely in the back half of February but overall it won’t be a frigid wasteland of snow and ice. Just a typical February on the coast."
