We hold steady through the end of the week and through the weekend. A ridge of high pressure has firmly set itself up over the island, with that temperatures will peak today and Friday with mostly seasonal highs and lows for the weekend. There was a small chance of some morning rain for Friday on the northern tip of the island but it looks like the ridge will continue to move that activity northeastward and onto the mainland. A very small possibility of late afternoon showers remains for an area between Port Alberni and Nanaimo but don’t get your hopes up as the odds are higher it won’t happen. For the remainder of May and the start of June we won’t see much change and we continue to wait for any significant rain.
