Woman found dead in Mission home, homicide team called in

Homicide investigators were called to Mission after a woman was found dead in her home. No one has been arrested.

A woman was found dead in her home in Mission, B.C., Sunday night, and a homicide investigation is underway.

First responders were called to the 33600 block of Dewdney Trunk Road around 11:30 p.m. for reports of an injured person at a residence, the Mission RCMP said in a statement.

“Officers arrived to find a deceased woman inside the home, as well as a man with non-life-threatening injuries, who was transported to hospital,” Mounties said.

“Both the man and woman were residents of the home.”

The woman’s death was determined to be criminal in mature, and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team was called in to take over the case.

“Initial information suggests that this is an isolated incident,” the statement from local Mounties said.
