Suspect arrested after double-stabbing at Vancouver SkyTrain station: VPD

A man was arrested after he allegedly stabbed two other men at an East Vancouver SkyTrain station over the weekend, according to police.

The Vancouver Police Department said officers were called to Joyce-Collingwood Station around 6 p.m. Saturday after witnesses reported the stabbings in the bus bay.

“Police arrived at the scene and discovered the victims, who were both bleeding after allegedly getting into a physical altercation on the bus with an unknown suspect,” Const. Darren Wong wrote in a statement Tuesday.

Police believe the victims and suspect were strangers

The two victims were taken to hospital with injuries police described as not life-threatening.

Police say the suspect left the area in an Evo car before they arrived but he was arrested shortly after near Joyce Street and East 41^st Avenue.

The 30-year-old Vancouver resident remains in custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
