Police are investigating a pair of suspicious fires that are believed to be connected near the community of Lions Bay, B.C. A statement from the Sea to Sky RCMP says officers were called to assist firefighters following a blaze at a home just after 4 a.m. on July 19. The home was fully engulfed in flames on Kelvin Grove Way in Lions Bay, police said. A short time later, officers were called to a vehicle fire on Ocean Point Drive, south of Lions Bay. Investigators say no injuries were reported but the fires are considered suspicious and are believed to be related. The Sea to Sky RCMP’s general investigations section has taken conduct of the case and is working with the Lions Bay Fire Department and the provincial fire commissioner to investigate the cause of the fires, the statement said. Authorities are asking anyone with information or images related to the fires to contact the Sea to Sky RCMP at 604-892-6100.
