Man dead after Surrey shooting

Police were called to the scene of a fatal shooting in Surrey on May 31, 2026.

Homicide investigators were called to Surrey after a fatal shooting early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired near 138 Street and 62 Avenue at 12:22 a.m., the Surrey Police Service said in a statement.

“Upon arrival, SPS officers located one male in a vehicle that had hit a power pole, suffering from gun shot wounds,” the statement said.

“Despite life saving efforts by police and BCEHS paramedics, the male was pronounced deceased on scene.”

No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made.
