Police say the gas leak in Milton on Monday evening has been “dealt with.” It occurred at a home on Bartleman Terrace, near Regional Road 25 and Louis St. Laurent Avenue. Halton Regional Police Service say Milton Fire Dept. and Milton Hydro responded to a request for assistance from Enbridge Gas to a residence in that area at around 7:45 p.m. “Gas workers had originally responded to an odour of gas but quickly determined there was an apparent major gas leak within the home,” they said in a release. ‘Methodical, staged response’ Crews engaged in a “methodical, staged response to this incident.” In an update on Tuesday morning, police said evacuated residents were able to return to their homes on Monday night. “Fortunately, there were no injuries,” police said in a social media post.
