Truck crashes into bridge in Liberty Village, no streetcar service on King

The TTC say streetcar lines were damaged after a truck crashed into a bridge in Liberty Village on June 3, 2026.

Streetcars aren’t running on a large section of King Street after a truck struck a bridge Wednesday morning--and officials say the service suspension could last all day.

Toronto police said the crash occurred at 8:20 a.m. near King Street West and Atlantic Avenue in the city’s west end.

No structural damage has been reported to the bridge, but streetcar lines have been hit.

The TTC says shuttle buses are running between Shaw Street and Roncesvalles Avenue to supplement service.

A spokesperson for the transit agency says that the repairs to the streetcar lines could take all day.

The cause of the crash is unclear.
