Here is how you can visit the ROM for free on Canada Day

Those interested in attending the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) will be gifted free general admission on Canada Day.

According to museum officials, the free day of admission is supported by the Temerty Community Access and Engagement Fund, which is a $30 million program intended to help make the ROM more accessible.

“Canada Day is a time to come together — and what better place to celebrate than the ROM,” Jennifer Wild, ROM interim co-director and CEO, said in a news release.

The ROM began offering free Canada Day admission in 2022 and has continued the tradition.

Timed-entry advance tickets are available online. In order to receive free admission, museum goers must still book ahead.

The tickets provide access to all permanent galleries but not featured exhibtions.

Current featured exhibitions at the ROM include BEES: A Story of Survival and Psychedelics: Art. Culture. Science.

The free admission is apart of the Canada Strong pass initiative, which offers free admission to youth between the ages of 4 to 17 years old as well as 50% off all admission fees for those between 18-24 between June 19 and September 7.
