A 60-year-old man man from Pilger is facing multiple charges after Saskatchewan RCMP seized cocaine, methamphetamine, illegal cigarettes, cannabis and weapons during a search of a residence. RCMP executed a search warrant at a residential property on Aug. 27, as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. The search was carried out by Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team (CRT), Prince Albert Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST), and Critical Incident Response Team. Officers seized 530 grams of cocaine, seven grams of methamphetamine, 52,500 unstamped illegal cigarettes and 40 grams of unstamped cannabis. In addition, they also confiscated a firearm, baton, a “conducted energy weapon” and an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was arrested at the property and is now facing six charges, including firearm, weapons, tobacco and drug trafficking offences. He appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Aug. 31. Pilger is located 100 kilometers northeast of Saskatoon.
