Weather anchor ‘arrested’ as part of Jail n’ Bail fundraising event

Sabeen Ahmad, CTV Regina’s weather specialist, was arrested during Wednesday’s 6 p.m. newscast. The charge? Seven day forecast fraud.

As part of Regina Crime Stoppers’ Jail n’ Bail fundraising event, Sabeen, as well as two other members of the CTV Regina and Pure Country 92.7 staff, will be challenged to raise money for a good cause.

Chase “Big Dog” Hussey, radio personality for Pure Country 92.7, and J.C Garden, the director of news and current affairs for CTV Regina, will be taken into custody on Thursday.

The fundraising event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cornwall Centre in Regina. Each “criminal” will have one hour to fundraise for their freedom.

Other community members “at large” include radio personality and Regina Crime Stoppers board member Belton Johnson, as well Tyler McMurchy, stakeholder relations director for SGI.
