A 45-year-old woman from Assiniboia is facing break-and-enter charges after RCMP found copper wire, wire cutters, and other break-in tools in the vehicle. On July 29, Coronach RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the RM of Key West. Police later located the vehicle in the RM, and after conducting a traffic stop, officers determined the driver did not have a valid licence or registration. She is facing several charges, including break-and-enter, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and possession of a break-in instrument. She also received tickets for driving without a licence and operating an unregistered vehicle. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days, and she is scheduled to make her first court appearance in Assiniboia on Sept. 10.
