The 2025 Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie campaign is off and running in Saskatchewan. This year in the Queen City, the money raised from your purchase of a smile cookie will go toward a pair of Regina charity organizations: First Steps Wellness Centre and the Regina and District Food Bank. “Unfortunately, we continue to see people signing up every day [to use the food bank],” said Evelyn Cerda from the Regina Food Bank, adding that through their buying power, one smile cookie purchase can help feed six people after that donation comes through. First Steps Wellness Centre is an organization that does long-term therapy for people once they’ve been discharged from hospital with a neurological condition ranging in age from kids to adults. They are a privately run organization that has been around for about 15 years. “It’s a big campaign for us. We’ve been able to raise a lot of money, that is a lot of meals,” said Cerda “It’s had a lot of impact.” “Grants are usually easier for us to get but they’re earmarked for certain purchases. This is very different. We can meet needs that our facilities have,” said Andy Schmidt from First Steps. The Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie campaign runs all week at participating restaurant locations.
