Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued heat warnings for large swaths of southern Saskatchewan as daily highs are expect to creep into the mid 30s. Issued just before 3:30 p.m., the alert includes Maple Creek, Swift Current, Shaunavon, Regina, Moose Jaw, Weyburn and Estevan. From Tuesday to Thursday, a period of warm to hot air is expected to flow through southern Saskatchewan with daytime highs expected to reach between 32 C to 34 C. With humidity, those temperatures could feel closer to 40 C. According to ECCC, cooler conditions are expected Wednesday night into Thursday.
