Five charged after Estevan break and enter, guns stolen

Five people are facing a slew of charges after numerous guns were stolen from an Estevan home.

According to Estevan Police Service, the resident of the home reported the incident on May 19, saying it happened over the Victoria Day long weekend while he was away.

Three firearms, along with other personal items, were stolen from the residence.

Following what Estevan police call an “extensive investigation,” search warrants were executed at numerous locations, arresting five people in total in connection with the crime.

“Two of the firearms were recovered at a location in Estevan during the execution of a search warrant on May 31, 2026. The third firearm was recovered at a location outside of Estevan on June 8, 2026,” read a media release.

During the investigation, officers also say they uncovered evidence of firearms and weapons trafficking.

As a result, a 33-year-old man and 31-year-old woman were each faced with 15 charges including break and enter and stealing a firearm, three counts of trafficking a firearm and three counts of possessing a weapon obtained by crime.

A 31-year-old man faces 14 charges, including two counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited, two counts of possessing a weapon obtained by crime, three counts of uttering threats, breaching a conditional sentence order and unsafe storage of a firearm.

A 38-year-old man was also charged 14 times including, three counts of trafficking a firearm, three counts of possessing a weapon obtained by crime and trafficking cocaine.

Lastly, a 29-year-old woman faces 16 charges, including three counts of trafficking a firearm, three counts of possessing a weapon obtained by crime, breach of probation and trafficking cocaine.
