CTV Regina has received six nominations for the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) Awards for reporting done in 2025. Videojournalist Mick Favel received two nods, one for Excellence in Sports Reporting for a story he did centered on a 100-year-old golfer. His other nomination was in the VJ Video category for a story about a Saskatchewan farmer who collected and restored classic combines. Sierra D’Souza Butts was nominated for Feature News for her story about a Swift Current-area couple who discovered one of the province’s largest concretions on their land. CTV Regina also received nominations for Overall Excellence in Digital, TV Newscast, and News – Live Special Events for our livestream of the Roughriders Grey Cup Parade on Nov. 18, 2025. According to the RTDNA, the awards began in 1966 and are a “prized recognition for journalistic excellence.” Regional winners will be announced in September.
