OPP arrest 3 after drug seizure in Sharbot Lake

Ontario Provincial Police say three people have been arrested following a drug seizure in Sharbot Lake on Monday.

Officers searched a home on Gordon Crescent after investigating allegations of drug trafficking in the area since late last year.

Two people were arrested at the scene Monday, and a third person was arrested a short time later after fleeing, police say.

“Officers seized more than 320 grams of suspected methamphetamine and over 63 grams of suspected cocaine. They also seized over $1,600 in cash, as well as items typically associated with drug trafficking,” the OPP said in a news release.

Two people are charged with possession of drugs for the purposes of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. The third person is charged with driving while prohibited and failure to comply with a probation order.

All three are due in court in Kingston on Tuesday.
