Colder than average temperatures to continue for another day in Ottawa

Colder than average temperatures will continue for another day in Ottawa but at least Saturday is looking nice.

A frost advisory that was in effect Thursday night was lifted early Friday morning after the temperature didn’t drop below 5 C.

Environment Canada’s weather forecast for the capital calls for a mainly cloudy sky on Friday with a high of 12 C and a 30 per cent chance of showers.

There is a lingering 30 per cent chance of showers Friday night with a low of 3 C.

Average temperatures for this time of year are closer to 18 C and 7 C as the high and low.

Saturday’s outlook has a few clouds but is otherwise sunny with a high of 18 C.

A cloudy day is in Sunday’s forecast with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 14 C.

Monday’s could see a high of 12 C with a few clouds.
