A 19-year-old from Blind River is facing several charges following incidents at a coffee shop and in jail.

Around 11 p.m. Dec. 18, Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call about a drunk person at a coffee shop on Causley Street in the community.

Ontario Provincial Police said the suspect had an open bottle of liquor on the table when they passed out.

"Upon arrival, police observed the intoxicated individual walking away from the business," OPP said in a news release Monday.

"The person was arrested and taken to the Blind River detachment. While in custody, the individual became belligerent, urinated on the floor and walls, and later stuffed their shirt into the cell toilet, splashing toilet water throughout the cell."
