OPP seek public’s help identifying persons of interest in multiple thefts

Ontario Provincial Police are asking for assistance from the public as they investigate a string of thefts in Kenora and Sioux Narrows.

On June 6, OPP responded to reports of a stolen licence plate, Seadoo and Dodge Ram from three different residences in Kenora, along with a report of a stolen GMC Sierra in Sioux Narrows.

“Officers are seeking to identify the two persons of interest involved in these incidents,” OPP said in a news release.

Persons of interest

Investigators have released images and descriptions of two individuals they are trying to identify.

The first person of interest is described as a man with a slim build and short dark hair. The man was seen black running shoes, a black baseball hat with a yellow “Y” logo, a black hoodie or jacket with red zippers and grey jogger pants.

The second person of interest is described as a man with an average build. He was seen wearing dark grey and white running shoes, a grey and black baseball hat, a black and grey FXR sweater with a blue hood, black pants and an orange or red key lanyard.

Vehicles of interest

Investigators are also seeking two vehicles believed to be connected to the thefts.

The first vehicle of interest is a black Dodge Ram 1500, model years 2009 to 2012. The second is a grey Ford F-150, model years 2021 to current, with black rims, Ford mudflaps, and a trailer hitch.

“The licence plates on both vehicles are false plates and may appear to be paper,” police said.
