John McPhee has been appointed by the city of Greater Sudbury as the new deputy chief of paramedic services effective Aug.17. “McPhee was selected for the role based on his extensive leadership experience in paramedic operations, system performance and strategic service planning,” the city said in a news release July 2. “Deputy chief McPhee brings a strong combination of operational leadership, technical expertise and northern Ontario perspective,” said Aaron Archibald, chief of paramedic services. He recently served in senior command roles with Toronto paramedic services where he led divisional priorities and strategic initiatives. “I look forward to working with dedicated paramedics to continue strengthening our service and supporting the health and safety of residents across the city,” McPhee said.
