A vehicle was set on fire early Monday morning in Montreal’s Saint-Leonard borough. Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 2:30 a.m. about the fire on Couture Boulevard. “Police officers and firefighters arrived quickly on the scene,” said Raphaël Bergeron, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “The fire is believed to have started at the front of the vehicle.” He added that the flames were swiftly brought under control. “The fire is considered to be possibly criminal,” Bergeron said. “A man was reportedly seen leaving the area shortly after the fire began.” The investigation has been transferred to the Montreal police arson squad.
