Laval police (SPL) are asking the public for help identifying a suspect linked to a recent arson case. According to investigators, a young man with a dark complexion and dressed in black was seen in security camera footage loitering around a parked vehicle for several minutes before allegedly setting it on fire. The incident occurred Aug. 2 at around 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of Voltaire and De Véronne streets in the Chomedey neighbourhood. The vehicle was engulfed in flames before the suspect quickly fled the scene. Anyone who can identify the suspect or who has information about the arson is asked to contact Laval police through their Info-Police line at 450-662-INFO (4636) or by calling 911.
