Quebec provincial police (SQ) are looking for witnesses after a teen was seriously injured on a scooter in what may have been a hit-and-run. Police say that shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday, a motorist found a seriously injured 15-year-old boy on the side of Canal Street (R-338) between St-Féréol Road and St-Dominique Road in Les Cèdres, about 50 kilometres west of Montreal. His crashed scooter was nearby. The teen was transported to hospital with serious injuries and remains in critical condition. The Vaudreuil-Dorion Major Crimes Investigation Unit is assisting the SQ in trying to find information about the vehicle that struck the scooter. “They are also asking anyone who saw a vehicle in the area with damage consistent with a collision with a moped to come forward,” the SQ said. Those with information are asked to call 1-800-659-4262 or by the SQ’s info crime site.
