Montreal races toward mixed weather for Grand Prix weekend

Those in the Montreal area are in for some mixed weather this Grand Prix weekend.

Friday will bring an overnight low of 9 degrees Celsius and mainly clear skies to start.

A wake-up temperature of 12 degrees Celsius is forecasted for Saturday, with a mix of sun and clouds. However, the mercury could hit a high of 22 degrees Celsius by afternoon.

Saturday night will bring an above-seasonal low, as the temperature moves down to 12 degrees Celsius.

Precipitation could then close in on the greater Montreal area to end the weekend.

A daytime high of 14 degrees Celsius will come with a 60 per cent chance of 8 millimetres of showers on Sunday. A temperature of 11 degrees Celsius is expected on Sunday night.

There is then a 40 per cent chance that morning showers will start the week.
